University of California at Berkeley – Physical Education Department (2018 – Present)

Part-time Lecturer instructing courses that focus on various ballroom dances including American and International Style dances, Latin Dances, and Salsa.  Choregraphs and oversees student performances.  Based on experience, training, and certifications, qualified to instruct:

  • American and International Style Ballroom Dance classes from beginner to advanced.

  • Social Ballroom Dance classes including Salsa, Merengue, Argentine tango, Swing Dancing.

  • Physical Fitness classes including Zumba, Yoga, and Stretching.

  • Korean Traditional Dances including drum and fan dances.

  • K-pop


Adjunct Professor of Physical Education at City College of San Francisco (2011 – Present)

Part-time Professor instructing various ballroom and social dance classes at from the beginner to advanced levels.  Also teaches physical education related courses Zumba and Yoga.  Choreographs student routines for Spring concerts and other performances including the City College Waltz Team.

Adjunct Professor instructing many Ballroom and Latin dances as well as Yoga.  Choreograph student routines for performances and the advisor to the Waltz Team.  Certified to teach many dance and physical education classes including Zumba.


Ballroom Dance Instructor and Performer (2007 - Present)

Instruct individuals, couples, and group classes in a variety of ballroom dances.  The students span a wide range of age, socioeconomic levels, and ethnic backgrounds.  Choreograph and perform dance routines for special events.

Ballroom Dance Instructor at San Jose City College and Laney College (2008 – 2012)

Instructed ballroom dance courses with a focus on American style dances.  Choreographed student routines for annual Spring concerts.


Co-director of the Midweeklies Youth Dance Program (2007 – 2016)

Taught middle-school students ballroom and hip-hop dance at a program that has been operating for over 50 years in San Francisco.


Columnist for a Bay Area Korean Newspaper (2008 – 2010)

Wrote monthly articles on dance and the health benefits.

Majored in Physical Education with a focus in Dance.  Studied numerous dance styles including ballet, modern, ballroom, jazz, and Korean traditional dance.  Coursework required learning choreography, stage design, and dance theory.
